The last time I was on MySpace was just before they had their "redesign," which, let's be honest, isn't the greatest web design. I remember hanging out with peeps after school who had similar tastes and we all hung out playing hacky sack, gulping down Surge Soda and Doritos Guacamole chips, all because of MySpace. That feeling and memories came flooding back in when I had seen this site. Sure, there were MySpace clones out there in the past, but I haven't really got back into that nostalgia trip like I did here. It's different here. It's like picking up where I left off basically over a decade ago. It's that small town hangout you and your friends used to go to, that got neglected, overgrown and almost completely forgotten over the years. Only then, when somebody who remembered that good old hangout, who bought the property and revitalized it to its former glory, do you fully appreciate the good times and the fun that this old hang out once provided. And sure, there may be a time where this space may one day go back to being on the internet archive and the memories of our more innocent past go along with it, but I'm going to hit up this old hang out for a while and remember those times, the times before everything became publicized, corporatized and advertised to the Nth degree. And if the gates finally close once more on this hangout we all cherished, at least we had one more chance to relive our childhood, even if it was brief.
I'm feeling Nostalgic
