shame in love

there is no shame in love. and i think we often forget that. 

theres something that i always say but i dont think im able to express it very well through words, cus when i try ppl look at me funny (sad face emoji).

the thing is, i think we dont really appreciate what it means to love someone, specially with the world that surrounds us. we are born and we grow up in a world that has a very strong concept of individualism, specially in the western world. ofc its okay to look after yourself and put ur needs and yourself before other things in some occasions, but its like society doesnt want us to care for other ppl and to look after them, specially if you expect nothing in return. 

but even though people are their own worlds, with their own experiences & circumstances, we are able to immerse in the lives and worlds of others, and i feel like theres something poetic and beautiful about that. in a world where individualism rules, the fact that we can look after our own world and barrier, and search for others and care and love for others, is one of the most amazing things in being a human being. 

so theres no shame in love or loving anyone or caring for anyone. even if the love is unrequited. loving someone is a reminder that youre human, and that the world is filled with love because you hold love within yourself. 

so you shouldnt feel ashamed that you hold love for someone, or that your emotions are so strong. love is what makes you human, what makes you recognize the existence of others and even your own. 

love like theres no tomorrow, and give your all to everyone, even if you get nothing in return, because even if its unrequited, you´re able to put love out in the world.
