I wanna talk about dark souls

I want to talk about the Dark Souls games and how to get into them because I think they are good but quite obtuse.

If you want to play the Dark Souls games, it's best to start with Dark Souls 3. It's easily the most accessible one in the series, removing the clunky character control of the first game and not having the bugs and poorly executed ideas that the second game has. Additionally, the game is absurdly linear compared to the first two games, which makes the third one the best for new players since there's no chance of getting lost or confused. However, this also makes the third game less interesting to replay.

Then, you should play Dark Souls 1 or Dark Souls Remastered. They are the same game, so it doesn't matter which one you choose. Dark Souls 1's character controls are very hard to get into at first. For me, it wasn't until the end of the game that it clicked, but when it does, it becomes an amazing game. The way the world connects is really unique, and I've only ever had the same feeling with one other game. The game gets a bit rough in the second half, but it's still good, and the DLC is great.

Finally, Dark Souls 2. This game is probably the most unjustly hated game I've ever seen. Dark Souls 2 is a great game. It has the prettiest areas, the best armor sets, the best-looking weapons, and a pretty good boss variety. The game's biggest issues come from some of the changes it made from the first game, like the addition of the ADP stat. This stat is tied to how many Iframes you get when you roll, which sucks. While it doesn't make the game unplayable like some people say, it's still annoying. I think what makes people not like this game is how different it is from the first game. In the first game, most encounters are locking onto the enemy, using your shield to block, and then attacking. In this game, that's not viable anymore. The larger amount of enemies means locking on isn't always viable, and spamming your shield is going to drain your stamina really fast.

Sorry, this became a rant, but anyway, play DS3, DS1, then DS2.

I don't know if it was the first game I played, but I love Dark Souls 2, and yeah, I hate when people say that this game is 'unplayable,' it's just unfair. The game didn't have full participation from Miyazaki, but Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura did a great job, making areas that are unique and the best Firelink, together with the best music theme. I also can't forget to mention the Powerstance, a great idea that was reused in Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring.
Regarding ADP, even though it went wrong, it shows that the directors had the freedom to express their ideas, making it seem like sometimes, many things in Dark Souls 2 were a test for the following titles.
Therefore, play Dark Souls 2 without prejudice, not comparing it to Dark Souls 1 or Dark Souls 3, because in doing so, you'll see the beauty of this game.

I agree with this, I feel like all the souls games are great but the first like 20% of the games is just you getting tortured until you level up and have a better fighting chance, I am also playing in ds3 to ds1 to ds2 order rn after Elden ring
