books/reading trouble

i  want to read more

i feel  like reading is a dying hobby (unfortunate) so i have like 2 people to talk about books... I go on reddit and goodreads  trying to find books to read but I always have that fear that it'll be not what I look for since everyone's tastes are very different .... tough hobby srsly

i currently have like 40 books on  my wanting to read list since they haven't all appeared in my public library ,,,,, but i don't know i feel stuck with hearing people  who think they're too smart jerk the same authors .....  maybe bildungsroman will always be my desired genre
