my problems with audio books

ok so I understand why places like audible charge for audio books, that's how the voice artists make money, but when I got my audible subscription I had to pay extra for these things called credits, each book cost one credit, each credit is like 3.99. this is where I have my confusion. I pay around 14.99 a month for this app, then have to pay extra for the actual books. and audible says the you subscribe they provide like 1 credit every month - 3 months. but for someone who can finish an audio book in about 2 days. that is 100% not enough. I mean I'm find with paying because I love supporting voice actors, but I just don't like audible that much. in anyone reading this has good recommendations on different places to listen to audio books. PLEASE let me know. cause I rly don't wanna keep using audible.
