The FNAF Movie

A short and simple blog, but I'm curious to if anyone is excited about the Five Nights at Freddy's movie?

Do you have any concerns for the movie and if so what are they and what's the reason for them?

Same with, if you're excited. Why are you excited and what is it you're most excited for?

Perhaps a discussion can be started, a friendly discussion. Bare that in mind :D

I have mixed feelings overall with the FNAF series. I was there when the series started, it was an ingenious move to release new entries months apart from each other so that the popularity didn't dwindle at all until the wait between 4 and Sister Location. But as I grew older, I stopped caring about FNAF, and moved on. Last year I caught up on the Markiplier Let's Plays I never saw, and it was interesting to see the story finished while also acknowledging that Security Breach looks like garbage.

As for the movie, I'm going to watch it (gotta rep my boy Josh Hutcherson), but I'm not particularly excited for it. I tend to seek out a lot of profiles in these early days of me being on SpaceHey so whenever I scroll to the interests and under movies it says "the Five Nights at Freddys movie when it comes out", that's usually a red flag for me. FWIW, I have nothing against anyone that feels that way, and if someone listed some badass movies followed by "and also I'm super excited for the FNAF movie", that alone isn't going to turn me away. But it's painfully obvious to me that if you say that about the fucking Five Nights at Freddy's movie, that tells me you're going to like this no matter how good it actually is. I'm expecting a response similar to the Mario movie. The fans will like it either way, but it's going to be an okay movie at best.

I'm too invested in the FNAF lore not to watch it at all, but I'm super iffy about watching it in theaters because it seems like perfect fodder for annoying moviegoers. Like moths to a bright light. Personally, I'm far more excited for Dune Part Two, which releases the week after.
