Fun Fact Friday! #3 ~ Gaboon Viper

TW: Snakes!! 

Gaboon vipers are the biggest snake in all of Africa, they can weigh around 40lbs (18kg) and reach lengths of up to 6.5ft (~2m). Although they aren't the longest in Africa (that record goes to the black mamba), they are the largest! 

Additionally, Gaboon vipers have the largest fangs of any venomous snakes, reaching to 2 inches (5 cm) long! Don't worry because bites from these snakes are super-duper rare, so as long as you live it alone, you will also be left alone! :)

It's actually pretty cute!! They also appear super chunky.
