my new zim doll!!! 👽💖

my babygirl,, she looks so cute ;_; <33 she just arrived yesterday! i never thought i'd have her in my hands but she belongs to me now >:)

there's actually a fun story behind my zim-hunting saga. for some background; she's an exclusive toy from de 2020 Comic Con SDCC! on top of that.. i also life in a south america country, so buying overseas is definitely out of the question (unless you are like... crazy rich, which is not the case)

finding genuine iz merch in national stores is extremly rare here. i usually check online stores once per week, but more than often there's nothing besides bootleg merch made with stolen fanart -__-

i first saw her on sale a few months ago, for R$200. not a bad price for such a finding but i didn't have enough to afford her in that moment. so i spent a few months saving up, always checking if she was still there, yep, there she was. ok. alright.

after a while i finally had enough money, i was so ready to buy her, i went to the page and then... SHE WAS GONE!! NOOOO SOMEONE TOOK MY GIRL FROM ME!!!!!!

needless to say i saw devasted </333 i end up spending my money on another doll to fill the zim shaped hole in my heart. it was a barbie from the Extra collection. cute, but not the same.

well, life goes on. i long for my lost green lady but eventually accept it was just not meant to be. some time passes and there i was mindless checking web stores again, looking for anything interesting besides bootleg junk. i was certainly with my hopes low but in a crazy twist of fate THERE SHE WAS!?! SHE WAS THERE IN FRONT OF ME AGAIN!!!!!

AND THIS TIME SHE WAS EVEN CHEAPER!! ONLY R$170!!!! This was absolutely mind blowing to me!! I didn't have a lot of money in that moment but aw hell naw i not gonna let her get away from me again!!!

and this is how we finally got reunited ♡♡♡ a beautiful tale don't you think? i still can't belive i actually have her. she is such a cute figure, i love her smile a lot ^_^

i did notice tho, her dress is way darker than in her original pallete. i think i might try to paint it in the future so it's closer to her eye color; i also wanna see if i can get rid of those little scratches at the side of her head. but she is beautiful to me to matter what
