Synthpop needs more.

In regards to major label signings, synthpop is dead. Synthpop doesn't make the charts anymore, and since the 2010s it has been decreasing massively following the moderate peak of electroclash in the UK in the 2000s but nowadays the charts seek over-produced junk made with no purpose but money featuring generic female produced by generic man. Synthpop has gone from major, to indie to fuck all in the UK. There's not even indie labels any more. The indie labels from the past decades have become major now, and nobody else does it anymore. Synthpop is the only fucking genre I do solo mostly. People here want rock gigs at bars, if it's electric drunkards want it to be dance. I want to say it's a dying genre but it should not be dead. Pop music made with mostly synths, pop meaning well... pop. Not the shit that charts, look at ladytron, royskopp, goldfrapp. if they started right now and dropped music, nobody would sign them. They wouldn't be known, and nobody is gearing to see new synth bands live in small venues anymore. im high af idk if that made sense but it annoys me
