Miku Monday #2 ~ World's End Dancehall

Hello! Every Monday I will talk about my favorite Vocaloid songs! 

Today I will talk about World's End Dancehall (ft. Hatsune Miku & Megurine Luka) by wowaka!

I LOVE this song. It is probably my favorite wowaka song. The guitar sounds absolutely amazing, and the other instrumentals are spot-on. The tuning is also amazing, and I love the harmonies with Miku and Luka. It is so catchy, and the chorus always gets stuck in my head. 

Typical from wowaka songs, the lyrics are very sad, as it is about a lesbian couple's double suicide after being bullied for their sexuality. In 2010, homosexuality was not as accepted unlike today, so it is kind of surprising that wowaka touched on that kind of subject and went to include suicide as well. Another song similar to this one in terms of its meaning would be Magnet by RyuuseiP, released in 2009, which talks about a same-sex couple (most likely lesbian, but never confirmed) trying to be together, but can't be due to being the same gender.

Switching the topic, I also love the Project Diva dance off so much, I also think the edit where Miku and Luka are replaced with Walter and Jesse from Breaking Bad is very funny. Also, the Conflict Miku and Luka outfits from project diva as well look so good! 

Rest in peace wowaka, we all love you and your music. These songs will stay as timeless classics for all Vocaloid fans <3
