But, some phones let you share Wi-Fi via USB or Bluetooth connection, varies on the Android version. Idk about iOS, search and you will be fine.
You can also share 4G since ages ago too, using your phone as some kind of hotspot. You usually have the option for that in the phone upper dashboard or 4G/wathever you use settings. Not the best way since you are wasting mobile data that way and not using Wi-Fi itself but its something.
