a handful of my hot steamy deltarune takes

okay so i know no one asked but some things ppl have been theorising about in the deltarune community have just seemed so ridiculous and nonsensical to me, so heres a couple of my thoughts on what the future of dr has to offer

starting simple, i’m pretty damn sure mike (the guy spamton often brings up) will be the antag of chapter 3. i mean its safe to assume considering jevil alluded to spamton being the villain at the end of chapter 1, so could this be the same thing with spamton and mike? but another part of me feels like it might be more complex than that knowing how toby is…

oh my god i gotta mention something about DESS!!!! lots of things about dess (noelle’s missing or presumed dead older sister) were dropped during the spamton sweepstakes charity event in september 2022, such as a tune being played on a guitar when you click on it and some nods to her throughout noelle’s blog posts on the internet. while toby’s stated that this next chapter will not be very lore-heavy, i think we’ll get a bit more shown to us about dess’s sudden importance and relevance to deltarune

i’m just gonna say it straight up, i think ralsei might turn out to be related somehow to the big bad of the story. i mean, not that he will be the villain in all this, in fact i definitely don’t think that he is, but some of the things he does and LOTS of the things he can do compared to lighteners and darkeners just seem so weirdly out of place in this story. i also think that asriel has a role to play in the villainy. honestly atp it seems obvious. i’m more inclined to believe that he’s evil than to believe he’s good, considering in undertale he also was literally flowey and god of hyperdeath and whatnot. okay but thats for much later chapters though

OH ALSO so theyve been adding 2 new characters to our main cast each chapter, right? i dont know if they’re going to be doing this again, but if they are im sure that catty and jockington will be the added characters. but of course if this were happening every chapter then the main cast would just be much too cluttered imo, so this could absolutely just be thrown out the window but i would still like to consider it

last one, its abt the release for chapter 3. so if you don’t already know, the team behind deltarune are now working on several chapters at a time, not one at a time. i assume this is bcuz of the timeframe they’ve been releasing in so far (1 chapter every 2 years) which isn’t ideal if theyre having allegedly over 7 chapters, so their fix is working on several at a time and releasing some together! i think we’ll have to wait a little longer for chapter 3 to be dropped because of the likelihood it’s being released alongside chapter 4 (& maybe even 5!), so i the release time im assuming is about a year or so from now, mid or 3rd quarter of 2024. of course, it would be ideal if it were earlier, but you know, it’s not something we can control!!!
