SOUNDTRACKS, MY BELOVED (probably too much Toby Fox here)

Honestly this is the first time I'm blogging quite a lot in here, but let's just roll with it.

I'll talk about game soundtracks mostly here, but I might mention soundtracks that were made not specifically for a game, just soundtracks. OH AND I'LL BE MENTIONING ABOUT UNDERTALE / DELTARUNE n it might be a bit spoilery so go play them if you haven't!!

Ever since playing Darksiders II and hearing that beautiful and chilling soundtrack that's the Makers theme I got into listening to game soundtracks (or just soundtracks) and enjoying them while drawing. Checking out other tracks by Jesper Kyd, everyone probably knows him for the Assassin's creed soundtracks, but I got more into the Borderlands and Darksiders soundtracks he made. After Jesper Kyd I've listened to Skyrim soundtracks , one of the Sid Meier's civilization soundtracks, Guild Wars OST, Z0mg OST, FlyByNo's Dungeon of the Endless soundtracks that are soo goooood one of my fav being Lady Shaft ( BRO I AM SO HYPED TO HEAR THE SOUNDTRACK IN THE UPCOMING ENDLESS DUNGEON GSDMLmgfdLK !! ! ALREADY HEARD SOME OF THEM WHILE PLAYING THE BETA I WAS MELTING FROM THE ENJOYMENT ). After a while Undertale just drops, OK FUN FACT I only found out about it while looking through youtube videos and hearing THE ABSOLUTE BANGER of a bonetrousle playing in the video (it was one of those Gmod videos probably) , I HAD TO try the game. Afterwards playing and hearing the soundtrack in Undertale it just gives you those warm fuzzy feels.

Gah damn Toby Fox absolute genius, musical magician (I wont be done talking about these magicians). Notable feel momments - goat mom track, ruins, meeting Papyrus for the first time, the chill Snowy soundtrack, Vibing with the dogos, THERE'S SO MANY GOOD SNOWY LEITMOTIF SOUNDTRACKS, yo it's that wholesome shop, THE WATERFALL SOUNDTRACk IT JUST MAKES ME THINK OF SOME soundtracks related to mines or recall Runescape, ma heart ma soule ;-:, this dummy is angry and all but he do be vibing hard, have an existential crisis with my ghost friend, I can't stop laughing at this place and it's tem tems, UNDYNE the touhou soundin' ah, it's your favorite host with the most KILL, IT's SO HOT IN HERE BUT THIS IS SUTCH A GOOD TRACK I LOVE IT, hey why is this funny bone man suddenly all serious and scares me at the end ( this track is soo goooood tho ), vibing in the hotel fr, THIS HOST WITH THE MOST KILL GOT LEGS, backstory time n cri, I must be judged, OH NO I HAVE TO FIGHT THIS DAD FELLA FR, this place gives me the creeps, this amalgamation beat goes HARD, this goat deviant art OC is fucking rad, I'm not crying you're crying EEEEeee *gasp* eeeeeee, say your last goodbyes to all your friends :), WAIT THERE'S ANOTHER HIDDEN MODE?? I must tr-gah damn now I feel empty, this was the part which made Undyne my fav character ( I love this track AAA ), you heard too much of this soundtrack to the bone  n the momment where the game is truly hard. 

Undertale related I'd also like to mention there are some amazing piano covers and animations by Bani-chan. She even did a music video collab with Toby Fox recently! (warning it's unsettling and dark)

OK next up... I go on tumblr to check what Sr Pelo shared and I stumble upon an amazing musical artist Nelward and boy the soundtracks he put out are amazing! Battle Against a Handsome Opponent, Gorgeous Foe, All that I needed Was - You, My Wonderful Room, Nelward - Hometown, Artificial Intelligence Kong, Overworld Waltz, Seafoam Green. Nowadays Nelward makes funky, catchy, unique songs that you should definitely check out!

This made me start exploring soundtracks on Soundcloud. AND BOY THERE ARE SOME MUSICAL GENIUSES OUT THERE, OUTRIGHT MAGICIANS!!!! Time to mention all these geniuses, DO check out their other stuff - Floor Baba, Stinkbug, TANCLA (THIS GUY RIGHT HERE I LOOOOOVE ALL OF HIS TRACKS, HE'S THE GREAT WIZARD OF MUSIC)   ... more Tancla and this melancholic soundtrack , Red&Green with their iconic soundtrack , Shane Mesa, Aurorange and their amazing Alcahest cover, +Tek, pngsequence, Pringle with their segalike tracks for the upcoming game OTHER:her loving embrace ( I supported it on kickstarter ), MICHAEL FRANK (THIS GUY IS SORCERER OF PUTTING OUT SO MANY GOOD TRACKS!!!!!! PLEASE CHECK ALL OF HIS TRACKS!!!!), SCOFFY, Rewitkin, Leila Wilson Woofle.

While downloading soundtracks from Soundcloud I have found out one of the soundtracks were removed from soundcloud ( GUYs YOU SHOULD Download tracks incase of this kind of shi happening ), thank GOD I still have that track.  It's called Blue Omen Operations - Melancholy Theme , in honour of it I gotta say this I LOVE when soundtracks have an ominous intros to transition to something so beautiful some examples that I probably shared here b4 - LADY SHAFT , Motoaki Takenouchi - onirim,  ok JESPER KYD'S THE MAKERS THEME does it in a bit differently - it starts all out beautiful to then just become ominous and then slowly start merging between the beauty and ominousness. PLEASE SHARE ME SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THESE TRACKS I FUCKING LOVE THESE.

Alright let's transition to the next part... There's going to be a bit too much Deltarune related stuff here.

It's 2018 either November 1st or October 31st and I remember checking out before that the Undertale console editions had new easter eggs with hints towards a new game, AND THEN BOOM THE INTERNET PUTS THESE STRANGE VIDEOS N SCREENSHOTS WITH SOME SORT OF OBSCURE UNDERTALE LOOKIN' AH GAME AND I CHECK TO SEE it's Deltarune. I was sooooo hyped to try it out and boy did Toby Fox go out with the soundtracks. FEELS HERE WE GO AGAIN - WTF character creation??????, HOLY SHIT LOOK AT ALL MY FRIENDS ALL OVER AGAIN, AND ... new faces???????? I AM CONFUSED!!!???? , Banger, I hate this gurl, plz she's scaring me, This place is ominous - I LOVE IT, Toby Fox making bangers for chase scenes,  lore??? WAIT THIS AINT noo UNDERTALE? , Sans 2.0 , THE FUCKING BATTLE MUSIC, :000000 FLUFFY BOY I'm GONNA CRY I - (dies), YOOOO THIS TRACK IS SOOOOO FUCKING GOOOOOOD ONE OF MY FAV (god damn this memmory of hype makes me cry ;-; ), SHOP THEMES!!!!! , who needs arms when you got legs like these, foresty aaa and the air instruments here, PFFF WHAT IS THIS???, this is spooky but yo forget that - THIS MOSS IS DELICIOUS!!!!, NOOOOOOO THEY HAD SUCH A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP,  THIS GUY WITH HIS HILARIOUSLY EASY PUZZLES, The track to studyeth to, I hate this round mean ball guy, WE WILL BATTLE, hidden bosses whaaaaaat???, hey this guy has some mystery lore and boy he's hard to battle, yay another goodbye to friends I met here, hometown theme is soo nice I love it dearly even though it has these sad undertones, It's all chill untill the ending pops out,  NOOO CLIFF HANGER NOOOO AGGMflkg - WAIT THIS IS THE SINGER OF EVERYTHING'S ALRIGHT AND THERE'S A ZOMBIE ON YOUR LAWN. 

You know what fugg it let's skip to the pandemic times of 2021 with the release of Deltarune chapter 2 where I was feeling kinda dead inside - the menu music is quite beautiful that is used in the playstation theme, this is cute, ;-; this soundtrack was in Undertale's 5th anniversary that Toby played it's so emotional, OH my GOO WHAT A CHARACTER, THIS OPENING TO THE FUCKING SCENE IS BREATHTAKING also is that a reference to Trance - 009 Sound System Dreamscape?? , wholesome battle and the dance references c:, THE ANNOYING BERD WITH HIS IQ OF A RICK AND MORTY FAN, Yooo THIS IS THE track Toby TEASED and it has different speed and it's a reused leitmotif of Itoki Hana collab 74, QUICK KRIS GET THE BANAN!!!!, Oh cool what is this funny looking guy from the garbage can I - [[ok insert me going overly obsessed and insane over THIS TOP NUMBER 1 RATED SALESMAN1997 BEST character of all time and eternity SPAMTON G SPAMTON (SHAKING EVEN THROWING MY SPAMTON PLUSHIE ON THE WALL) ]]   OK BUT I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THIS HOLY SHIT THIS IS SOO FUCKING CATCHY AAAA AND IT'S BRINGING ME THE MEMORIES OF YTPMVS HOLY FUCKING CANGADEERO  n the samples from Earthbound👌(warning I will EXPLODE FROM THE HYPE) , THIS IS GOING EVEN MORE INSANER WHAT THE FUCK, catchy ma- WOAH THE PAINTING ARE ANIMATED TO THE BEAT, Ok whatever the fuck happened in the alley let's go back to the shady guy he got my curiosity AND BOY Spamton is spooky all of a sudden, THE FUCKING PIRATED SOFTWARE KEYGEN MUSIC REFERENCE, the place I get sent to and visit and boy does Toby Fox deliver when it comes to spooky tracks, WOAAAH THE LEITMOTIFS FROM UNDERTALE ARE GOING HARD HERE, I feel bad for Spamton tho. , NGL I LOVE ALL THE DESS AND NOELLE LEITMOTIF SOUNDTRACKS, turns out the game also now has an alternate route like in UT and boy there are some unsettling soundtracks like d.ogg (this one goes hard tho), Welcome to the city, Berdly battle, Traumatic Recollection.

Aaand there's also Deltarune teasers that got released not long ago - Green room, Hometown Day (I love this, it's more cheery than the other one), My Funky Town.

Hmm All this Toby Fox, Nelward and other funky tracks from Soundcloud really got me into earthbound inspired rpgs, soooo I've played Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass and I'd like to mention some cool tracks by Kasey Ozymy - Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass OST Motion Sickness , Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass OST Hotel at the end of the World (this track gave me a chuckle :vvvv),  Spooky Machines ... Speaking of Spooky machines I've tried Weird and unfortunate things are happening and gotta say this track from it hits 2010s flashbacks hard. 

I've played through Eastward that has sprites that give off Earthbound vibes, the tracks there have this lo-fiish sound to it. Eastward tracks I'd share - City Night, Peak, Tale, Johnny's, Valley of Junks, Greenberg, Strange Quest.

After a while I've tried Omori and the soundtrack there was HOT DAMN bonkers good! Pedro Silva, Bo En, Jami Lynne legends for composing so well - Stardust Diving, Not-So-Empty-House, A Home For Flowers (Empty),Where We Used To Play, Remember To Be Patient ( I'm so obsessed with melancholic soundracks !! ), Underwater Highway (the piano here is soooo nice!!!),  Gator Gambol (PIANO GOES HARD), Tussle Among Trees, Crossroads, Orchard,  also the spooky part tracks of the game are somewhat soothing for me White Pillars, Nawa ( the area and the music itself gives Linkin Park MV vibes) , August/Water, Calm.

Aaaand I've decide to try out Earthbound on an emulator, ngl I got stuck in one of the places so I haven't continued, there some really catchy tracks here (insert them being used for memes lmao) - Battle Against a Weird Opponent, Sanctuary Guardians (the most Earthbound insane you could go, god damn this is so good meme content), Snowman ( I'LL GO WILD OVER THESE WINTERCHIPY/WINTERY TRACKS I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! ), Winters White, Hi Hi Hi (OH WHAT A BUNCH OF SCRINGLY LITTLE GUYS I LOVE THEM).

As of recent I played n finished Mother 3 on an emulator and the tracks there are AWESOME here's my picks - Mind of a Thief, Happy Town?, Fun Naming, Alec's Log House, Mom's Hometown, In the Room, Unfounded Revenge (CATCHY BATTLE THEME), Monkey's Delivery Service, Going Alone, Fun Bazaar, Dry Guys (MORE CATCHY BATTLES), Ragtime Osohe (Even if you forget the small moles on my back and inner thigh I'll never forget you In my lonely room, your wig weeps Baby, believe me when I say don't attach anything to the walls of this room Like moles or wigs or wall staples Ooh~ ooh~ oooooh~ No~ wall~ staples) , Monkey's Love Song, Mother?! (the leitmotif :') ), Snowman (hearing snowman again makes me sooo happy!).

And I'd like to say I adore videos that talk about game soundtracks, go look at ToffeeBun video. I like how the old console game soundtracks had their own limitations due to hardware, sparking some insane creativity.

I've dabled in making some soundtracks myself with fl studio and my own personal fav being this autumny tune.
