New Beginnings

Every day I long to be able to turn back the clock so that I may return to the halcyon days of the internet, when it felt like there was so much to discover and so much to do. People could roam free to explore the vast and endless cyberverse and meet others that were willing to form long-lasting bonds with you. Now, everything is superficial and boring. The internet has been been reigned in by media conglomerates. They have raped and pillaged our beloved internet;  reduced, renovated, reinvented the World Wide Web into a shallow cesspool of cheap validation through social media and Buzzfeed articles. Everyone and their grandmother is now hooked on the dopamine rush provided by simple clicks and swipes. The new generations will never know the joy that being connected to the internet once inspired.
