Why I joined spacehey and what I think is missing...

well, when I had discovered this site and how similar to old myspace it was, I kinda wanted to check it out and see what it had to offer. I even registered to see if I can gain a similar experience to when I used to be on myspace. so far, everything seems to be an order, it almost feels the same, almost. I notice that there's no chat room on here so that people can interact with other people in real time, and not have to use forums. not that there's anything wrong with that, but I feel as if the developers and the users would benefit a bit more if there was a chat room feature on here. a missed opportunity there, but maybe having a chat room feature might be a bit much to have on the site, i guess? I don't know.

but just imagine, the possibilities to meet with random strangers and potentially make a friend on there. just by first impressions alone one would gain simply by chatting in a chat room. I don't know, maybe I just feel a little smitten by this site, it feels similar, almost takes me back... but I won't be able to put myself out there and interact with folks if I have to rely on forums, plus I don't feel all that confident to just instant message someone right off the bat.

anyhow, I'll see if I can make some use out of this site and maybe try to meet new people here and interact with them. I've noticed that some older users haven't been on in a while and I wonder if they too had similar complaints that I had, felt as if this site was missing something. or if they just got bored and moved on to something else. I don't know. we'll see what happens.
