Ok, I haven't experienced Myspace, but there's other things that I have experienced in 2010s. Let's talk about the 2010s.

2010s was my childhood and brooooo I have explored so much throughout the internet.

From flash games to whatever obscure websites out there, there were shit ton of things to discover. Plus there's other things that I could talk about 2010s that's not internet related.

Time to drop this mush of text ramble. This wont have any order or anything so I'll just start with a list:

  • Stripgenerator. When I was looking through websites on the magazine called "Computerbild" I stumbled upon a website called Stripgenerator. It's a website where you can make comic strips with premade character and shape vectors. Most of the premade characters were made by the artist https://zekcrew.com . The community was somewhat smallish, the activity there was a bit random at times. Just incase to get it clear the comic strip or art posts there are just called "Strips". Even though the website's purpose was to make a quick comic strip with presets, it didn't stop the people from making amazing art with it's engine's limitations (seriously it's pain in the ass if you'd want to color something, plus making so many shape/preset layers on it that it might crash the engine) . The community had contests, featured strips, featured artists, badges, achievements, levels, forums, there were even merch and buyable presets to use in your strips (YES YOU NEEDED TO BUY A PRESETS IF YOU WANTED TO COLOR YOUR STRIP IN YELLOW, BLUE, GREEN OR PINK. ) . The community even had a RPG comic series called SSGG, where people would make comics with each other with some rpg rules and character sheets. Besides that there were other series and "game comics" similar to the SSGG, just overall I can say that the community was very creative.
...In 2020 - the website got shut down.
BUUUUUT... The legend named Muppetauthor5 made a website called ComicCrafter, which is essentially really similar to Stripgenerator, but with extra features like coloring things on a quick, or importing your own svgs, the community there aint as big as in the original Stripgenerator, but hey it's something - there's some community members from Stripgenerator that are still there. Besides that if you'd like to see random strips that were made with Stripgenerator Muppetauthor5 also made a website that let's you check out random strips that were published in Stripgenerator - https://codepen.io/muppetauthor/full/bGozazr . You could stumble upon remnants of the amazing community there.
Ok so what I've contributed to the Stripgenerator website? Well I've done some art, cringy/edgy comics. I got to become featured artist once in a lifetime :vvvv and the thing you needed to do is get voted as featured artist and post a Strip each day in 1 week. I got to the level called "Emperror", I was so close to the final level called "God".
Here's some of my own examples on art I made using Stripgenerator's engine.

  • Gaia Online. YES IT'S STILL ALIVE I KNOW! This is one of those websites where you could customize your character with all these random cosmetics that you can get with the website's currency (you buy it or earn from minigames). You go out there with your character and hang out in the virtual spaces that gaia online has, or you go play it's minigames. My fav one was the RPG called zOmg, it has it's own story going on and the virtual world is quite beautiful in it's own 2D 3dish aesthetics, you collect rings that are weapons and powerups and you level them up, you also gather party members to go for boss rushes LEEEEROOYY JENKINS style so you'd earn some large amounts of money to go customize your character. I loved the soundtracks in the minigames ngl, brings nostalgia when I listen to it. Oh PS you could make a website similar to myspace lmao
  • Flash games. The first time I've tried a flash game was when I wanted to check out a game website from a magazine I found in a library, the website was called speleonline or something something similar (in german probably). There's so many games I don't even remember the names, but here's some that I'd recall - Feudalism, Swords n Sandals, Unreal Flash, Chaos Faction, Dad n Me. There's a shit ton to name, there were lots of edgy gory games as well. I also recall playing a unity engine game in a browser that was some sort of 3D RPG,dungeon crawler, when it got updated I lost all of my progress on it :(  ...
  • ROBLOX, the classic one. I was looking for some sort of a game maker online, and stumbled upon roblox. I spent too much time in there >.> (hey pspspsps wanna buy a roblox account?). I spent my time loging in daily to get my ancient currency called tickets so I'd buy a cosmetic  (Roblox is much more greedy nowadays lol), I've been working on my place or the so called "game" in there, I made my imaginative place called "Lordelot" and was messing around there with friends. I've tried soo many games that are probably broken with current roblox engine. I also dabbled with video making for the first time and made bunch of cringy Roblox videos. I got banned on one of my accounts for sending some sort of link or spam mail. At the end I got so sick and tired of the pay to win and the currency grind in the game I quit.
  • APB Reloaded. I played this since 2011-2012, it's a GTA mmo shooter type of game with in depth customizations. My friend invited me to play it and this is hands down one of those under rated games that you have a love-hate relationship with. You get to chose two factions - a Enforcer ("cop") or the Criminal. You level up your character by pledging to a Contact npc and doing missions to unlock upgrades, weapons, cars, etc. . You can upgrade your character (PS cars, weapons also have upgrades)  with modifications like health regen timing, portable ammo crates, an upgrade that lets you stand on cars so you could just take out your bazooka/grenade launcher and go wild on cars, aaand more that I don't remember ... Furthermore there's one thing that a bit sucked - you could buy weapons with ingame currency for a limited time or just get the payable currency and buy a permanent one for 20ish dollars (if I can recall correctly). I loved the customization and the community market in this game, you could make a ingame business out of it by selling custom cosmetics. There's also a unique thing about this game having a music making feature that let's you play the music on the car or have a tune that plays after you kill a player, you can make a business out of that on the community market too! The in game music player had some obscure bands, but there's some bangers here and there.
  • OK THIS IS A BIT OFFTOPIC SINCE THIS MIGHT BE FROM 2000s, BUT I HAVE TO MENTION IT. I remember in 2008 I tried a veeery veeery obscure game on cartoon network that was one of those mmo avatar based chat games with it's own filtered chat. It's somewhat similar to gaia online in visuals. DAMN I'd want to find it, but I doubt it's findable.
  • THE MUSIC! GAAHH THE MUSIC, I've heard bunch of music from my siblings and just listened to whatever I'd find out there from games and other media. My music taste aint the same as it used to be, it was just experimenting with what I'd find interesting to listen to. Shout out to this music that I've heard throughout the 2010s (SORRY IF SOME OF THESE WONT BE FROM 2010s, but it's what I've heard during that time) - Greenskeepers - Vagabond , Greenskeepers - Lotion, Scatman John - ScatmanThe Rumble Strips - Not The Only Person (APB RELOADED AND IT'S CATCHY MUSIC), The Bravery - This is Not the end, Alphastates - Champagne, TV OFF - BOOGIEMAN, Skindred - Nobody, Rise Against - Give It All, Killing Joke - The Death And Resurrection Show, Brad Sucks ( I listened to this on my crappy mp3 lmao ), Tally Hall - Turn the lights off, Lemon Demon - Geeks in loveOne T + Cool T The magic key (Thanks Cherry for sharing this, I have no idea when did I hear this song), HEEEYEEEEAAYEAAA, Outkast - Hey Ya!, HampsterDance, Caramelldansen, Sweet Trip - Acting, Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads will roll, Breaking the Habit – Linkin Park, Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity, Mystery Skulls - Ghost, insert brony phase :vvvv TLT - Discord, Twitch vs. Pinkie Pie - Welcome, The Gypsy Bard, WHATEVER JEREMY SOULE WAS COOKING ON GAIA ONLINE'S zOmg SOUNDTRACKS!!!, Dope Stars INC. - Lies Irae, The Subways - Rock & Roll Queen, Paramore: Misery Business, PSY - Gangnam Style, Eifel 65 - BlueParagonX9 and whatever was used on the Unreal Flash osts, Crazy Frog - Axel F, Gigi D'Agostino - The Riddle, Felix Da Housecat - Rocket Ride, Electric Orchestra - Mr. Blue Sky ( I'm having flashbacks of Eraser Head edits with this song), Trance - 009 Sound System Dreamscape, GiGi D'Agostino - The RiddleGIGI D'AGOSTINO - BLA BLA BLA. I might of missed out on mentioning more music, oh well.
  • My little pony: Friendship is magic. Ah yes the early times where I stumbled upon MLP on tf2 spray website and discovering it from a friend. Lauren Faust made this so interesting to watch from season 1 to season 3, and then boom no more Lauren and it goes to mid to okayish episodes. Brony fandom and the music they made goes hard. The designs on the ponies and the background were just great!
  • Youtube poop. THIS was some peak shitpost video edits back in the days of pop culture, where'd you hear Dr. Robotnik shout "Pingas" and Morshu edits where he starts spitting out beats. I'd recommend checking out Aliantos with his KOTH unsettling David Lynch like edits or YTPs by Dasboschitt.
  • Speaking of Dasboschitt - GMOD videos! HEY you could even count in Source Filmmaker as the next thing people makin' content that's somewhat similar to GMOD. This and the ytps probably ruined my humour back then and turned me into a complete shitpost incarnate. Dasboschitt, the legendary Kitty0706 (RIP), eltorro64rus, Rubberfruit, an0nymoooose and many many more ppl making gmod/sfm edits. I've also contributed to this by making gmod videos and then moving onto source filmmaker to make posters, shitposts and videos.
  • Creepy Pastas. The internet's creepy stories n imagery whether it's some corrupt pop culture media or a cryptid, something to scare the kid me lol.

Hmmm what else could be as a honorable mention..? Goanimate animation website? Newgrounds. Anything else that's obscured by my memory fog.

Wow!So many things I never heard of or experienced myself! I wonder what my list would be like if I had to make it during my childhood in the 2000s. Obviously myspace would be on mine haha. It's just so interesting how our formative experiences get impacted by what we discover/ what is big at the time.

Very interesting!

Oh gosh I was really into flash games, YTPs, YTPMVs, and Gmod videos. YTPMVs also lead me to Touhou, and apparently at the time fans disliked the fact new fans came in from that Ronald McDonald Insanity video.

Let's see what else did I do in the early 2010s? I was really into this chatroom/instant nessager site, but I won't say it's name publicly cause it's still up, somehow, but very unsafe for minors due to no mods and admins there.

I remember using a site called quizilla a lot. It was full of weebs and emos and you uploaded quizzes, polls, and stories.

I can't remember the name at all but I remember this Pokémon MMO you played in your browser. Oh yeah Runescape was playable in your browser too! As for another MMO I played a bit of Pokémon Mystery Universe, but that was more of a mid 2010 thing for me I think.

Oh another thing I remembered is watching the YouTube series "Stupid Mario Brothers" and yes it was stupid but after awhile they ended up having an actual story line and drama. With all your favorite video game characters!

Yess, I've seen some of the Ronald YTPMVs. Tho for me Touhou music is more memorable for being in the Team Fortress 2 Saxton hale mode servers called freak fortress having all the players go against this one OP character as a boss battle (one of the characters being from Touhou).
Chatroom messager websites, yeah sounds unsafe :/. I've tried playing many different avatar based chat games back then.
Quizilla would be a perfect thing for talking abbout interests :v
Yesss browser mmos! I've played a bit of Runescape too.
The youtube series aaaa, so much youtube content that wasn't corporate!! I've watched SMP films and his cat videos( rip to his cats tho ), other than that I checked out spooky videos like a guy opening the door to some creepy lookin' ghost lady. And probably other youtube content I've watched that I can't remember.
