hi everynyan!
imma just drop some stuff i've been into lately! if anything here sounds interesting to u i'd love to talk about it once you've played/watched/heard/experienced it!
We Were Here Together
so i played this game with my gf this week and shit was super fun but also very difficult if u have peanut brain like me. the art style is so dope and i love the mythological feel of the story! the puzzles themselves are also rly varied and fun methinks. there were a couple times where we got stuck completely (pipe puzzle especially) and had to look up a walkthrough but mostly it was just a swell ol' time! also the soundtrack is an absolute bop!!
Be Kind, My Neighbor
this is a graphic novel i found in a comic book store in Brighton when i was on holiday earlier this year. i didn't get around to reading it until just the other day, and i'm still just at the beginning, but so far i've loved every second of it! the story is really interesting, the characters are amazing and the art style is so good!! the book first caught my attention because of the front cover featuring the main character playing his guitar. if a story has a quirky art style and a musician protagonist imma be interested immediately- i'm a simple man ok? and yea, the main character has proven to be my favorite character just as expected ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ
Uncle Calvin's Private Life
lo-fi, super adorable, psychedelic synth music from 80s japan- of course i'd be into it! every song comes with its own illustration and they're all so cute. rly wish i had a physical copy of this thing. my favorite tracks are "take it kindly" and "thank you for the present"
My Sweet Honey Bunny
mainly the song "miffy". shit fries my brain while also saying uwu right into my ear. the sampled(?) vocals are so adorable and the fact that they're basically the only sound apart from the drums help to get it stuck in ur head (this song haunts my mind rent free now). the rest of the album is also pretty good, tho i feel that a lot of the tracks run for much longer than they need to
Lesbian Dogwood and the Disaster Life Thereof: Part 1
this might be my new favorite film oat. the characters are so lovable, the comedy is perfect, the art style/diy aesthetic makes the whole thing so comfy. also i really wanna hug fishbaby, they deserve some comfort T_T the scene with the mosquito man made me die laughing, i really hope he comes back in part 2
