resident evil holds a very special place in my heart as my all-time fave series, ive played resident evil 0, 2 remake, 3 remake, 4 remake, 5, and then some of 6 & 7....i have revelations but never played it. its literally my favorite game series ever....the soundtrack kinda isnt the best tho (there are some super good songs tho)
i never played silent hill, but i love the story and the soundtrack of all the games even more. super excited for the silent hill 2 remake but id love to play the older games

(My opinion since I played all RE and SH)
Re is an awesome series, and Revelations I and II are awesome in my opinion. Try Code Veronica too, it's a good original game.
Silent hill is of course very different to RE, but it has an amazing soundtrack and is in generall similar to RE ganeplay wise with the fighting, inventory, maps and Puzzles. The originals at least.
From the games you wrote you play, it seems you played the newer games. The original RE's are different and Silent Hill are more of the same style as the original RE's (1,2,3)... with the exception in silent hill of course the western productions like homecoming and downpour.
Beware that the remake of two has already got a lot of critique that the trailer shows its not gonna be as the fanbase expected. And the old games play differently than the new ones. With that said, enjoy the games, they're awesome.
thank you!!! yeah i definitely want to play the original re games, mostly the original re4 but definitely wanna check out re3 since i heard the remake cut out a buncha stuff (was still a fun game regardless).
im definitely rlly interested in the silent hill 2 remake, and i definitely wanna check out the original silent hill games!!

re outbreak seems so fun, i just bought re8 so i need to play that...was considering buying re1 but i already spent way too much lol
