im starting a writing project analyzing the evolution of Hannibal and Will's relationship through the violence and death in the show!! A lot of the murders have heavy correlation to the way Hannibal and Will's relationship grows and develops over the course of the show and imo is v important in understanding them as characters.
its super interesting and so far ive been analyzing the significance of the ravenstag and the first set(s) of killings (deer related), first by Jacob and the other two by Hannibal and how those beginnings have set up their relationship and affect it consistently throughout the show!
im also thinking i should see what significance the episode titles may have to it! for example the first seasons titles are french, and the first two "apéritif" and "amuse- bouche" are both similar in being that they are a food/drink that stimulate appetite. I think i can make a connection to that concept and the obvious (cannibalism) and also the beginnings of Will and Hannibal's relationship in that these are the episodes in which Hannibal starts to provide an "appetite" or fascination in Will towards violence and the art form it can be, which in turn leads Will closer to Hannibal
sososo many thoughtszzz
