Why I'm Here

You know that feeling when you long for a time you never got to experience? I'm sure there's a German word for it but I experience it frequently. Growing up in the early 2000s, I saw a world practically bursting with individuality, the internet was relatively young and there were so many ways to personalize your life and express yourself, I couldn't wait to grow up so I could join in on the fun! But of course as I grew up things changed fast, suddenly everyone wanted to be the same and I was shamed to filth for being "girly" in a world of trendy tomboys, or more than likely, having the audacity to stand out. There were new apps that supposedly encouraged self-expression and did for a hot minute but soon everyone looked the same and had the same goal; clout. This is why I came to SpaceHey, I wanted to experience true individuality online without the rest of the world trying to take control and possibly return to who I was before society dug its musty claws into me, so far it's helping!
