they think its "poser/tiktok music" like ,,, yes the fanbase is annoying but imo their music is still good regardless 🤷

mostly the fans,also chino just moaning into the mic. i used to hate deftones aswell for those reasons but know i like them,i dont tell anyone im a fan though cause of the other fans and stereotypes

i mean. chino kinda just moans into the mic on their recent albums TT the first album is ok but also they got found on tiktok which lowkey ruined them... tthe whole "mommy goth deftones" girl epidemic ruined the entire band imo

the only reason I dont like them is bc I dont like their music. I probably wouldnt dislike them so much if they werent so popular that I see them literally everywhere. They annoy me bc I have to see them all the time even tho I dont even like them

There's multiple reasons why, but the main ones I've seen are: sound very cheesy, overrated or bland. I really only listen to a couple of songs from them but I respect the significance they had in the rock scene. If you only dislike them bc they're popular, then you're unbelievably lame.
That's a legit reason to not like them, all music is not for all people, but I agree. Also yeah, hating them for their popularity is goofy, that's what I'm talking abt

the reason being, all their music sounds the same and i just dont like chinos voice
also my dad doesn't really like them so i guess he influenced that too
that's valid. i mean you don't have to like every single band in the world, so just not liking them it's okay ig
