hi
I figured id lay out all my favourite footballers and talk about them a bit in a blog. Just to give a general idea of all of them.
My favourite club is Bayern München and I follow the german national team, so they will mostly consist of players from there. I'm picky :P

Manuel Neuer
Absolute favourite football player. He made me initially fall in love with the sport.
Neuer is a goalkeeper for Bayern and Germany, he has been considered the best goalkeeper in the world by most since the 2014 world cup where he gave incredibe performances. He has basically changed the way goalkeepers are thought of, instead of merely standing between the posts waiting for a shot to block, he reinvented "sweeper keeping". Basically meaning he runs out to intercept the ball and he plays agressively. I'm in love with the way he plays football. Though he is 38 and will likely soon retire, I hope I can enjoy him performances for at least one season more.
He's also very outspoken, which is something I really appreciate in the world of football where it's not too common. He has shown support for LGBT rights since 2011 and has spoken about racism, discrimination etc whenever possible. Also often landing him in hot water... or into gay allegations (He's got multiple of those lmfao)

Bastian Schweinsteiger
Schweinsteiger is an absolutely insane player, or was, since he has been retired since 2019. Currently he's 38 and calmly married to tennis player Ana Ivanovic with 3 kids, but he used to be a monster on the field. He's a wonderful midfielder and talent for Bayern and Germany. Plus, he had some funny shenanigans during his youth and afterwards. He's a very charismatic guy and for sure in my top 3 players OAT.

Xabi Alonso
Gonna be really real here and just say hes hot. Like hes an EXCELLENT footballer and I absolutely adore his playstyle and artistry but. Y'know who am i to deny a sexy man.
Currently he's a coach for Bayer Leverkusen, he's 41 and retired in 2017. He's doing a terrific job at coaching, by the way. He brought Leverkusen from relegation threat to 6th in a few months.
Also, hes from Spain. He won the world cup with them in 2010. He has played for Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern München over the years. He's considered a legend at all of them, which is a massive feat to accomplish in 3 clubs that big.
