been back for a while

I forgot about space hay for a little bit, but I've been looking at space hay since I've been back to Minnesota, but I'm unable to post on my laptop for whatever reason.

The text section is unselectable on my laptop. Anyway, Elon Musk has shit the bed with Twitter once again. Didn't renew the contract with Google so now the website is inaccessible to people with out accounts. And they're limiting how many tweets people can do if they don't have a Twitter blue account.

Reddit also recently shipped the bed by canceling it's third party app system. Also, I heard that the aesthetic update is very undesirable. I never got into Reddit because I've never been able to post because of the karma system. I did recently discover Lemmy from a Mac tonight fan discord server, and I've been enjoying the decentralized Reddit clone very well.

A lot of these mainstream apps are really breaking themselves. A lot of people are rushing over to Mastodon because of what happened to Twitter.

What shooting a lot of the Febiverse in the foot right now is that only Mastodon has an app. Peertube arguably has an app, but last I looked at it - it wasn't that functional. I know a lot of American leftists that would drop Instagram in a second if Pixel fed got an app. All of the fetty verse is optimized for mobile use, but people don't really care about mobile optimization anymore. They want applications. I think web3 has brainwashed people into thinking that apps equal functionality, when we seen plenty of times that it's far from the reality of the situation. It's definitely on the case-by-case basis, and there are a lot of different cases.

I'm definitely going to continue to observe how things develop as the mainstream platforms continue to shoot themselves in the foot with their user base. I'm very excited for the decentralization of the internet that will be brought about by the mainstream capitalist companies. 2023 is the year the billionaires take themselves out.

Speaking of which, ocean gate am I right?

Please don't call them billionaires. They're just billions. They don't have air.

Sorry about that. My billionaire jokes really seem to implode.

I stand with the orcas!

And something about a racing accident? An accident for them, but not for us!
