I'm starting a weekly blog post that will be about anything music. It could be about a song, EP, album, artist, band, instrument, or anything in between. Today I'll talk about Daft Punk's sophomore album, Discovery. This album is one of my favorites of all time along with the anime movie that was made along side it. I'm not even super into the House genre, but I think everyone should listen to this album at least once. The sampling on this album is masterful, some of the best I've ever heard. The completely original songs are also just amazing. The album is a perfect 10/10. Many of the songs give me this cozy and nice feeling. The movie released to accompany this album boosts the album so much even though it's already perfect. Watching the movie (Interstella 5555) is the definitive way to experience the album. You can't mention this album and not talk about the production. There are many synths used such as the Juno-60, Juno-106, Minimoog, and SC Prophets. The synth sounds are some of the best I've heard, especially in tracks like Voyager and Veridis Quo. The vocals are also super interesting. Its almost like making robots sound human if that makes sense. I'm starting to ramble and make this very messy, so I'll leave off with my favorite tracks and a link to Interstella 5555. Thanks for reading. :)
