Today i totally shut down my dads gaslighting, my dad told me "I dont want to hear it" when i was trying to explain to him why something he did was hurtful to me. I then got upset and told him he was being dismissive. To which he was like "you need to not take things like that i wasnt being dismissive" and i was like "Theres no other way to take the phrase i dont want to hear it other than dismissive..." and yall he was like "iM sOrRy YOu ToOk iT tHaT wAy" to which i was like NO you responded in a way that warranted my response...your words have meaning and you arent going to convince me that what you said was anything other than rude and dismissive, im spart and i know what words mean....and then he was like ok sorry. I ate that...i cant wait to move out tho
