i really think people need to stop stating their ages (or anything tmi tbh like mental illness and triggers it makes it easier for people to mess with you) on social media publically like maybe its just cuz every time id get on the internet when i was younger my parents told me never to say my real name/age/show my face because they wanted to keep me safe and im really grateful they did that because i havent run into any creepy weirdos or anything yet
imo even stating that you're a minor is dangerous i feel like people dont have any caution when it comes to the internet like theres tons of danger everywhere and its better to be safe than sorry
anyways thats just my opinion :)

I only have my age to talk to other teenagers. If anything weird happens(ex: the person I'm talking to want to exchange nudes or wants certain stuff from me) they'd get instantly blocked. I think people should report and block accounts more. Especially on the blocking part as it makes things way easier. The harasser can come up with more accounts but at this point "evidence" can be collected for legal shit. I'm lucky no one tried funky shit but I had heard so many horror stories from friends and online friends. Also there is the fact we can share ages in dms so that definitely is safer but personally I don't want to sound like a creep asking for their age since I only wanna make sure I'm talking to another younger person like myself. This is my opinion ofc your opinion is valud as hell and I agree with certain aspects of it
