ETHER

Hey everybody!!

I have made 4 albums in my years of being a musician. I love them all to death and I feel like my favorite part of making the albums is hearing them back and seeing how much growth and risks I take each time. First and foremost, I make music for myself and as a creative outlet. With that being said, it means the world to me when you guys say you're listening to it and enjoy it and wanna come back for me. I love that connection that music can bring us all closer and I'm so very bless that I get to be apart of that.

So I made this blog to try and quickly explain what you're gonna hear different on Ether as apposed to my other albums.. Well for one thing.. It's a lot happier ^_^ My last album "Mixed Emotions" was exactly that, I had mixed emotions about everything on it. I LOVE the album and how it turned out, but it was me struggling with a lot of emotions. Emotions of love, hate, religion. girls, guys, coming out of the closet and being openly bisexual.. all kinds of things and it also has a pretty big genre change as well.. well, the second thing I wanna say about my new album, is it kinda goes back to the acoustic rock and more upbeat stuff. the best example of that right now are the two new singles "xFISTFIGHTSx" and "Forks on the Left" which is a song about my eating disorder and trying to overcome it. I think a big theme running through "Ether" is that it's getting over or overcoming things. mostly fear. Getting over fear and seeing the other side. I think that's the message of this album.. on top of all that, the production on this album WAY higher than previous ones. *Nerd alert* For starters, I really wanted to make a raw album and showcase instruments over keys and programming. I recorded it all with live amps, mostly Orange (They are my favorite amps) and also I didn't put any auto-tune on any of my vocals. I did use chorus and stuff to thicken things on some heavier tracks, but mostly just wanted to make a raw and fun art piece that will be so much fun to play live. I'm not judging anybody who uses vst plug-ins or auto-tune or anything, but I just really wanted to deliver emotions and make something a little less polished while still giving it a higher production. I hope that all makes sense. I'm sorry that wasn't as short as I'd like for it to be, but I'm just so excited for you all to hear it. Have a great day, Much love :)
