Yes yes I know, this is the obligatory blog post about how toxic SpaceHey is but I have been on this site for a while and I have seen it change and grow along with its users. I love how ppl get creative with their layouts, photos, posts, etc, but I feel a certain ick anytime I go onto any place other than my circle of friends.
There is SO MUCH stupid high school level drama, people who do the most outrageous stuff to get attention, and numerous PSAs and “Response to ____” posts that it’s making fucking sick. I come on here to take my mind off of the real world and here are thousands of people, who cause drama and havoc on this site for no reasons.
To me the worse part about this is the Bigoted communities that have all of a sudden decided to join the site. And I feel like EVERYTIME I go on this site, something ALWAYS HAPPENS. LIKE WTF?! CAN YALL NOT GO ONE DAY WITHOUT CAUSING STUPID ASS FUCKING DRAMA AND JUST CHILL THE FUCK OUT?!
I’m debating whether to just stay on here for a bit or do a move to FriendProject but I’m not sure.

I've only been here for 3 months and within the 3 months I've been here I've noticed it too. I came to spacehey to get AWAY from other platforms that had these issues but I guess that was silly of me. It sucks because I genuinely do think this is a pretty cool site but there's always people who wanna ruin everything. It's infuriating.
completely agree, as a way to feel better tho I’ve been using FriendProject which has some more features like an actual photo system and more customizability
