Hellooo
So I thought it'd be cool if I shared my fav songs from my fav bands :D
It was hard to pick just one song but I managed, feel free to share yours :))
Okay soo let's start!
My Chemical Romance - Disenchanted
I just love this song so much!! The lyrics are very pretty and deep. The pre-chorus is the best part in my opinion, Gerard's voice just drips with raw emotion and I love how the guitar sounds.
Panic! at the disco - Camisado
Ryan Ross is a lyrical genius and you can't convice me otherwise. I love every song from afysco and pretty odd but Camisado will always be my number one, especially live version. Ryan tells a story in a beautiful, poetic way.
Fall Out Boy - Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!! It was hard to choose just one, fob has so many bangers but this one will always hold a special place in my heart. It's just poetry, Pete really can write it better than we ever felt it. There's so many great quotes that live in my head rent free.
The Cure - Close to me/Boys don't cry
I KNOW it's basic and no I'm not a fake fan, I just love these songs so much. They introduced me to The Cure but also they are just lyrically brilliant. I scream my heart out to them.
Muse - Starlight
That's 100% their best song and argue with the wall. I can listen to it on repeat and feel something every single time. Just like with every song on this list, the lyrics are so good BUT I think the best part of this song is just the instrumental, I think it's original and it gets stuck in my head for a very long time.
Green Day - Uptight
Almost every Green Day song should be on this list but I can only choose one sooo yk. Uptight also has great lyrics, I think it's one of their darkest songs. It's very depressing but I love it. You can feel pure emotion coming from the Billie's voice.
Paramore - All I Wanted
I'm glad tiktok found this song and gave it love that it always deserved!! THE GUITARS!! I don't think I have to say anything more really. Add to the mixture Hayley's powerfull voice and boom, best song.
6arelyhuman - scene high 2
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!! I can't find what pronouns they use tho. Okay so scene high 2 is such a bop, the best scenecore song ever. You get filled with so much hoe energy when you listen to it!
Okay I think that's all for part 1, maybe I'll make part 2 if I feel like it cause I have so many more bands and songs I would like to share!!

Starlight is one of my all-time favourite songs! Matt Bellamy's voice and vocal range are amazing. Been a fan since Absolution came out and Time Is Running Out hit the airwaves. I love singing along to the falsetto parts in Starlight.
Green Day's Dookie album was one of the first CDs I ever owned. I remember when the music video for "Basket Case" dropped. I had OCD/anxiety and depression, and it did a lot to normalize and de-stigmatize mental health issues for me. Billy Joe kinda made it seem relatable and okay to struggle to adjust to a deeply messed up society.

Wouldn't say I have favourite songs or bands, for me it's rather black and white - I either like the song, or I don't. Here are some recommendations for the fans of NewWave/DarkWave, punk and sluggish metal though.
