Memento Mori: the most important thing in this world

This is my first of many blogs about a song and I thought it'd be appropriate to start with my (current) favorite artist Will Wood and of course I want to start with the song that introduced me to him.

This song was suggested to me by spotify's enhance feature (god I wish it suggested actual good songs more often) and the first time I listened to it I didn't think much of it, but I remember I always loved the theme, as I have never really been one to fuss about death. The song is about the inevitability of death while the instrumental and vocals make it sound less like a tragedy more like a celebration. It touches on various occult things like the concept of an afterlife or reading the future and then moves on to more realistic tangible things like how you die nad what happens in the world after, did you really matter? The answer, that you might or might not want to hear, probably not, so why care? It ends up essentially telling you to live life to it's fullest, but as you might learn from some of his other songs, make sure you don't go too far into the deep end.

My favorite lyric has to be "No need to fearĀ 'cause when it's here you won't be alive"

Overall I have to thank spotify's enhance feature for introducing me to the song that would end up making me go down the rabbit hole that is Will Wood (and the tapeworms) and I would like to thank you for reading this mess.
