Yotsube &

For an ongoing manga as old as me that somehow always takes place in modern day, Yotsuba & could possibly be my favorite manga series of all time. The always funny, charming, and energetic Yotsuba living with her single father in rural Japan somehow manages to never become stale. An adventure as simple as buying milk or collecting rocks on the beach can be the equivalent in emotion of any of the biggest moments in manga history. The "antagonist" of the series, Yanda, is my personal favorite character. If you like stupid kids, Yotsuba is a must read.
