every time i see a thrift store or hot topic haul i get so jealous cuz we dont have that in my country :'( we have 'thrift stores' but we call them chairty shops, and a lot of the things are so ugly but in the thrift store hauls i see people always have the coolest stuffÂ

If anything, over here in the US, we're a 'disposable' society. If there's cool finds in the thrift stores, it's because whomever purchased them new in the first place got tired of them long before the items wore out.
These types know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
For thems that find these treasures, however, they usually gain something beloved and for a price they might not otherwise afford.
