My mom is getting Chemotherapy (maybe)

My mom is getting chemotherapy after having a cancerous tumor removed from her body. She's slowly recovering and is feeling a lot better than she was a few weeks ago. All throughout the year she had been complaining about her side hurting. Turns out there was a large growth there! But it's gone now. Today she went to the doctor to talk about the possible treatments. They got the tumor out, but they want to make sure it'll never return, and to get rid of any stray cells I guess.

She hasn't decided yet, she has until monday to make a decision. I'm just glad that we managed to catch it in time and nothing bad happened. Both of my parents have had to go through cancer treatment, and it's sad because Cancer does run through our family. My great aunt had to have breast cancer treatment done years ago when I was a little girl. And my dad had stomach cancer, and had to have treatment done for that.

I am thankful that we have the money and resources to treat my mom now, because when my dad had cancer it was very tough on all our wallets then. We even had to move out of our house and live in these awful roach infested apartments for years just to afford it, since his insurance wouldn't cover all of it.

I'm thinking that monday if she agrees to do the chemotherapy, then maybe later on in July if she is feeling well, that we can all go and watch Barbie in theatres. We haven't really left the house in a while because we've been taking care of her for a long time. I think leaving the house would be good for everyone though!
