Fall Out Boy Concert 06/28/2023

I got a stick of like, gold glittery makeup (it's like a multi-purpose eye and lip stick? It looks like a crayon, LOL) and did a look with black eyeliner and then smeared the gold on and off to the side to look like a... idk... gold smoky eye? Like a comet? I know NOTHING about makeup, I just thought it looked cool. Just wore a black tank top and black jeans because the high was over 100 degrees F, and I knew I'd be buying shirts. Luckily enough (or unluckily, for my wallet,) they had restocked the new Clandestine Industries shirt for this show, and I got there early enough for the show-specific shirt (it has the location on the front and a unique quote on the back for each show. Ours was "Part Time Soulmate, Full Time Problem!"). I also got one of the tour shirts, the baseball jersey, and the tote bag. Ooooh it hurt me monetarily. But I honestly can't even regret it.

I'm not an established fan of any of the openers (Daisy Grenade, Royal and the Serpent, Bring Me The Horizon) so I don't have much to say in that regard. I was surprised The Academy Is and Alkaline Trio weren't there, I wasn't sure who was which dates.

I also got to trade bracelets with a bunch of people! INCLUDING Meredith Allen, Andy Hurley's wife! I gave her two of my bracelets :]

The band played a good number of their regulars for this tour, but like with every show thus far, there were some mix-ups in there. Most excitingly, was part of What A Catch, Donnie (First time live since 2013!) and for the Magic 8-Ball song (which is the song they've been doing different each and every show) we got The (After) Life of the Party (First time live since 2007!!!). That really was special for me because I've got such a love for Infinity on High; it was the first ever CD I ever bought myself, and I would listen to it almost every night for a super long time. Even know, if I'm having trouble sleeping, I can turn on Infinity on High and it helps because I've conditioned myself with it. And the last song I usually hear before falling asleep is... The (After) Life of the Party. T-T so I was really happy. In general the Infinity on High and Take This To Your Grave representation ruled.

Got back to my apartment at 2am only to have work again today at 10am. I am... quite tired. But I got to mostly be in the office alone (everyone else is out today). So I didn't have to pretend to have energy all the time. Now I just gotta find out what to eat tonight.
