Paranormal Story From My Past Vol. 1

Greetings my Creatures & Ghoulies, I'm really excited to begin this monthly blog post! Tonight's story is one from working retail!

It should be noted that if it wasn't because of my job at Walmart, i wouldn't have met the person who kinda got me into doing paranormal & be making this post. At this point working there, I was a couple years into just doing a first few investigations. Yet, I've long heard rumors of the land that the store sat upon was haunted, before that area was even developed.

I'm referring to the colonial town of, Tarboro, NC.

So, as a cart pusher...you tend to wanna make needless walks thru the store, just to cool off from the humid summer air that's looming, where the store sat atop the riverbank. As im walking thru, I pass several empty aisles. Then I pass a lady with a baby...seconds later, we hear glass shatter on our floor....

I turn back...my eye's meeting this ladies mutually confused stare. Upon us both looking midway down the aisle we both passed... we seen a shattered red Yankee candle, asif it was pushed off the shelf. Mind you, this area of the lane was about the middle, so neither of us could have made this happen without alerting the other.

I don't remember exactly what I said to this now, anxiously concerned & cofused, parent. But it came down to me saying something  along the lines of "well, that was weird" but we both walked away with a healthy dose of uncertainty. Before I did leave the area & let someone else know what went down. I looked at the area from which it fell, and found no sign that it forced itself off the shelf from being overstocked, which can happen with some products.

But this candle...this DAMN candle...was in it's own perfect space with plenty of room, judging by the empty place on the shelf. Yet, the candle was across the lane, asif a cat swiped it off of there!! I was dumbfounded. Still am tonight, as im retelling this.

But that was just the FIRST unexplained thing I had happen inside the store. Here's a story that happened while in the far side parking lot, with my coworker!

One summer day, we had a bus full of workers leave those carts near wear some truckers post up. So as we're almost by the carts, something bizarre  happened as we (just so happened to) chat about the supernatural...

We both IMMEDIATELY recoiled from a sharp pain in our neck. It was so fast, I seen his neck twitch, as he did mine! We both kinda looked at each other in a "holy shit, that really just didn't happen,  did it?" manner before we be both laughed outta bewilderment. So we nervously did our job & got back to the cart bay to chill for a minute  & let it sink in.

Do I think both of these instances are sheer coincidence? Absolutely not! Been trying so hard to make sense of these instances ever since & still can't debunk either. Yet I hope you enjoyed these stories from my past & learned  a little more about me!

If you have any questions you I want my take on, regarding  ghosts & the unknown, leave them below & I'll answer them at the end of the next blog post.

Until then, stay spooky, yall!!
💚

I can't wait to read some more!

I was working in a pottery shop that was converted from a super old house. I had a lot of different experiences. But my first one is one Ill never forget. I was working there for a couple months and it was my first time closing by myself. My manager at the time was clocking off and about to leave when she told me to do all the chores during working hours so I could finish up counting the drawer and clock out at 9 when we closed. I locked all the doors and started counting the drawer when out of the corner of my eye I saw a lady in white with long black hair standing by the pottery. I did a double-take and she was gone. I felt a little uneasy and quickly counted the drawer and just left. The next day I was actually working with my manager and she asked how closing was. I said it was fine but I ran out quickly so I hope everything was tidy when she got there in the morning. She asked me why and I said I felt uneasy. She pointed to where I saw the lady and said oh did you finally see "her" . UM YES why didn't you tell me about that! She said she didn't tell me because she didn't want to sound crazy. I asked her to describe what she saw and she said the same thing I did. So we both saw the same lady. SHe did say that the lady was harmless and she loves to stand in that particular corner.

I have like 3 or 4 more stories during my time there.

That is such an interesting story! The Yankee Candle thing is usually a common occurrence with ghosts, of course, but that neck twitch is creepy!! Can't wait to read more of your paranormal stories!

thanks!! Ever since then I sworn off from ever buying those candles & especially red ones! Lmao. Right! It was like someone hit a button & shocked us both, in some kinda boring reality show!

Oh my goodness I bet! :0 Red seems to be a common color with ghosts, I don't know what it is! I usually saw that on ghost shows. But man I bet, that neck thing had to be scary. :( So glad you're out of there.

thanks!! It definitely wasn't my most proud job, but I've seen more strange people than I have ghosts, while on the clock..lmao

LMAO me too. XD I used to work at Walmart in Indiana, PA as a Cashier and a Self-Checkout Host. I loved doing self-checkout but Walmart's policies are a load of bullshit. xD
