CosLOG: fixing Yoshida 4 dokomi!

Hi!

This probably won't be super interesting as the edits I did to this cosplay were super minor but I wanted to get a headstart into logging these for my own enjoyment/overview.

Spent last week fixing up my Yoshida cosplay from the unstyled mess it was when I first got it.

Generally:  I already had pants so I just got a fitting wig, piercings, lenses and a mob psycho jacket which has the exact same stylings as the CSM part 2 school uniforms.

So last week I:

☁️ Remade the piercings

The ones I bought were huge and rlly heavy, do not recommend getting that if you have fairly small ears. I ended up opening some silver O-rings and painting them black with nailpolish and actual varnish to save time. They're smaller then the cuffs he has but I cannot see myself wear bigger ones for an entire convention day without wanting to pull a Van Gogh...

☁️ Changed the jacket buttons

Idk if you guys have noticed this but any cheap cosplay comes with the exact same "fancy" buttons lol I always end up noticing them immediately cause I'm so used to seeing them on my own, I replaced them with really simple ones that fit my idea of a school uniform better...Also Yoshida has a rlly simple design so over the top accessories become super noticable !

Ideally I would like to remove the shoulder pads but they are sewn into the outer layer of the jacket for some ungodly reason so that'd be for a later time...

☁️ Bought new lenses

Well...The lenses I ordered got stuck somewhere in transit I ended up just getting some affordable halloween lenses cause Yoshida's eyes are just plain black and ended up loving them way more then expected! I think simple might really work best for this guy...

☁️ Styled the wig

I love styling wigs but I held back on starting his cause his hairstyle changes so often! My guys bangs are really just flowing on the breeze and I respect that...however it looked so bad without styling. I ended up basing it off of the frame where he first meets Asa and Yoru I feel like that's one of his most iconic manga looks (and his cutest).

☁️ Redid the makeup

Whereas I went more basic with everything else I ended up adding a lot more makeup...This is the skill I most noticable got worse at over the 2 year health hiatus I had to take so I gotta practice hard to get back into a good base. 

My face also changed quite a lot...If no one has told you this before around 23 you really start to lose some of your babyfat in your face especially your cheeks. I still have a round face but my old contour routine looks so severe on me now!

Anyways endless rambling over I ended up with this which I'm wayy happier with! :)

I will wear him at Dokomi on sunday! Hope to meet more CSM fans and make some friends :D
