Animal crossing new leaf music rant

Heyo, welcome to my random stuff blog.

Tonight we have a rant I posted on my Discord server with ppl who don't care at all about which animal crossing songs are the best ones. On here there will be some ppl who want to hear it tho :) Here it is:

This is one of my top 3 favourite video game soundtracks. (Animal crossing new leaf)

It's so calming and extremely nostalgic. Every hour of the day has a different theme. It's calm and grounded at night, but it can pick up and get energetic and lively in the morning and in the daytime. To get you moving and ready to have another great day. The instruments are varied but they are all tied together when used in different themes. It feels so connected into one experience. An experience you just can't get with many other games. Every day is different, with new surprises, but it's the same game. The game that you love to play and spend hours in. My favourite hourly themes are: 11am, 2pm, 3pm, 11pm and more I didn't mention. 

Some of these godDAMN songs make me tear up just from listening to them and thinking about those times. That's just the hourly themes though. There are hundreds more songs in ACNL. The town hall, retail, able sisters and K.K. Slider songs are some very iconic and memorable songs. You will have heard them even if you have never heard of Animal crossing in your life. 

This game came out more than 10 years ago and that is insane to me. 2012 it released. holy shit... wow

I started playing in like 2015 maybe? The welcome amibo update was out and the game was still being updated at the time. Sadly I didn't have online features so I couldn't share my experiences with other players, which is SO SAD. I wish I did ;-; Anyway

 In my opinion, Animal crossing new leaf is the best game in the franchise. Hands down. It feels so big and full of life and fun and memories. Sure New horizons is amazing and better than new leaf in certain ways. But when you compare them, NH just feels so lifeless. I could go on for actual hours about this I am not exaggerating.

New horizons soundtrack has some pretty good tracks that do remind me of 2020. They remind me of moving houses but always having Animal crossing to go back to. There was security knowing nothing big would change on my island and that was nice.

I was so damn excited for new horizons you don't even understand. I was following the hype since 2017 and I saw that game get delayed twice but in the end it came and it conquered. I wanted to get it so bad on day 1 but we didn't have the time to go to EBgames and pick it up (they would have all been gone anyway.) Or internet to download it. So that night dad did some dad magic and gave me my switch in the morning and I was estatic. Wow that was off topic.

The Animal crossing franchise means so much to me. Wow, never let KK write words. I hope u enjoyed my rant if u read all of it u are very swaggy.

The stuff in lavender is kinda unrelated but good to read.
