new laptop + gaming stuff

present day, present time

my new laptop arrived after some delay, it's used but it's pretty useful so far, ngl, i'm really liking it and it's powerful enough to run all the stuff i need, rn i'm getting used to the keyboard and function keys, so i'm kinda typing slow when i'm not using my main keyboard, i feel like a boomer haha.

made a nice minimal arch install with qtile and nothing else, did some troubleshooting and the usual stuff, took a day to get stuff running but it's way faster than what i had when i did my first arch install (days and days figuring stuff out)

i played some stuff in it, just nfs underground 2 and some geometry wars, running stuff under wine is pretty hard since compatibility is not the greatest, but performance is good enough. i wanna emulate retro games in this bad boy, and do some nice bedside coding eventually, when i get used to the keyboard
