Mana-Sama Biography written by me!

I didn't really put much effort into writing this so please excuse any errors, I just did this because I was bored😭

Mana was born on March 19th in Hiroshima. His birth year has not been made public, but it is assumed to be 1969, making him 54 years old. His real name has also not been made public, though he has gone through a few stage names in the past. He has two younger siblings, a sister and a brother. Not much is known about his early childhood other than the fact that his parents were both music teachers. He was in a band in high school that did covers of Motley Crue songs, and he was the singer. Motley Crue was also the first band he ever saw in concert. Later in high school, he joined the band ves.tearge, which we don't know anything about. After that, Girl'E was formed, and Mana preformed under the stage name Serina. This was the first time Mana dressed more feminine and started his onnagata image, as he said that before Girl'E, he had always hated feminine things. Girl'E released a demo tape titled One Game, which Mana did the cover art for. Shortly after that, he moved to Tokyo and worked at a karaoke…place? I don’t know what to call it. Anyway, it was there that he met the guitarist Közi, and they formed the band Matenrou, with Mana on bass. Matenrou only released a few demo tapes before disbanding. Mana and Közi then decided to form Malice Mizer, which would be their biggest project so far. Malice Mizer released their demo tape titled Sans Logique in 1992, when their lineup consisted of Tetsu on vocals, Mana and Közi on guitar, Yu~ki on bass, and Gaz on drums. Gaz would leave Malice Mizer just a few months later, and be replaced by Kami. Mana and Közi both played lead guitar, which sounds really cool by the way! Anyway, then in 1994 they released their first album titled Memoire which was released under Mana's own label Midi:nette, with the lineup still the same. In 1994, Tetsu left Malice Mizer, leaving the band without a singer. Then in 1995, Gackt joined the band, replacing Tetsu. They released their second album in 1996 titled Voyage ~Sans Retour. Then Merveilles in 1998. After the Merveilles l'espace concert, Gackt left the band. A few months later, Kami died in his sleep. They had a small funeral for him which only Mana, Közi, Yu~ki, his parents, and his close friends attended. Later in 1999, Mana started the gothic lolita brand Moi Meme Moitie. Malice Mizer didn't have a drummer or a singer at this point, until they found Klaha to be the singer in 2000, and used a support drummer. They made their second movie titled Bara no Konrei, along with the album Bara No Seidou, which would be their last album before going on an indefinite hiatus shortly after the release of their last single titled Garnet. A year later in 2002, Mana began his solo project Moi Dix Mois. The lineup at the start of the band included Mana and K on guitar, vocalist Juka, bassist Kazuno, and drummer Tohru, who was originally a support member. This would be the lineup until 2005 when Juka left the band along with Kazuno and Tohru shortly after, leaving Mana and K as the only members. A little bit later, Seth joined the band as the vocalist, and Sugiya and Hayato joined as support members, but became official members after the release of Beyond the Gate. A few years later in 2014, guitarist K would die from an unknown cause and be replaced by Ryux. Moi Dix Mois is still together now, but they haven't released a new album since 2010, although they still tour. Mana has been more active with Moi Meme Moitie, and will occasionally model at their fashion shows as well as appear on their official YouTube channel where he regularly does thing like cooking! There's a video of him just sharpening his knives which I find really funny, and the fact that he never talks makes it even funnier because it's so awkward just watching him stand there and sharpen those knives…anyways that’s off-topic, and the strange mmm youtube videos are a subject for another day. Mana has influenced countless other visual kei bands because of his onnagata image, and there are so many bands that wouldn’t be where they are today without him!
