mixing to start soon

July 3 is important for three reasons:

1) THE most important one is that my son Julian will be 22 years old on this day!

2) I signed my deal with GHS Strings!

3) Mixing for my ninth album will start on this date too...

I've not heard the final results since June 10, when I laid down my solos. Listening back after a couple of weeks will be interesting. Normally, mixing happens within a day or two after recording. Things are different, and that's okay with me. Not in a rush to get this album out the door (I learned that lesson in 2005). But I am very excited just the same!

And after mixing, it's onto mastering, picking the first single, taking pre-orders, etc etc etc. Challenging as I get older but still feel like I'm 18.

Think this is my fourth mid-life crisis...
