I didn't realise how much I missed this.
As a kid I used to love reading, especially fantasy books, but I slowly stopped, especially recently when the only reading I could allow myself to do was on articles about the German peasants war and the protestant reformation.
I tried to pick up books here and there, but they just weren't enjoyable. I also made myself hypercritical by watching those YouTube videos on bad books, and dissuaded myself from buying them by taking every bad review to heart.
Ig now I don't have exams to worry about, but it's still as though a switch was flipped by magic allowing me to immerse myself in stories again. I've read two novels in the last three days or so, and I hope I can slowly work back up to longer books.

I gave up after the first volume of the Journey to the West even though it influenced me and i still think about it to this day. I have to go back and read it again.
There are so many [western] classics I want to read to, if I'm able..
Welp, i rambled, probably about nothing.. but I'm happy for now. And I have free time to read
