june music obsessions

i love love love music. this should not come as a surprise to anyone who knows me, but none of you do. every so often i HAVE to talk about the music i've been listening to otherwise i'll die. 

since summer has started properly, i've been listening to summery type music. for a good summer playlist, i recommend muna, the beths, chapell roan, and carly rae jepsen. especially the beths. their music feels like driving down the highway with the windows down with your best friends. 

yesterday i watched the jessie reyez tiny desk concert for the first time just because it came up in my youtube recommended and when i tell you that it was Art i mean it. something about a good performance captivates me more than written words can describe. and so of course i haven't wanted to listen to anything else all day. she can make her voice so powerful and emotional in a way that makes me want to writhe. 

so of course i've been obsessed with boygenius, haven't we all been? my tiktok algorithm certainly thinks so. i love the record, i love their self titled ep, i love all of the music each of them has ever made individually, i am the biggest boygenius fan and i am getting a good grade in being sad and gay. i will make a different post about this once i have the energy to write a full fucking essay because i have SO much to say.

i have SO much to say and yet i have So Little Energy. and yet we stay silly.
