parent dump

I don't understand my parents rn all they do is talk to be about me being an adult and how I have to be more responsible and I am, when I want something I can buy it by myself and I understand I need to be more responsible and I am I work a lot and when im not at work im with the same 1 person i'm always with, I don't get too many off days so when I do I go to hang out with him. I was at his house today and took a nap and around 8:30 my stepdad texted to come home I was asleep so I obviously didn't see it my mom then calls me yelling mad and sends me a whole paragraps saying I'm not an adult so I shouldn't be there that late (it was 9:30ish and he stays at my place usually till 12:00am), mind you when it comes to anything else i'm an adult but in this one category ig im not which makes no since to me, anyone else's parents do this ?
