I like to call my taste in tech "barely retro." I don't even consider most of this stuff "old," moreso "outdated." Also, this is just a casual post and may not cover everything cause I'm just doing it off the cuff cause I wanted to post.
1. CDs/CD player
I like riding the line between convenience and quality. I've never been drawn to collecting vinyl, but I was raised on CDs, and the quality is better than mp3.
This is the CD player I have:
It was relatively cheap on Amazon, when it comes to high quality CD players, it fluctuates between $30 to $40 USD. And the speakers are actually pretty damn good! They're better than the ones in my car, at least, lol.
At some point I'll share my entire CD collection on here, but it's a lot of Fall Out Boy, CAKE, and Frank Sinatra. The three genders.
2. Digital Camera
This is a newer addition to my collection but it is now a huge favorite. I have a red Nikon Coolpix S205, which looks like this:
A lot of tech I like is used to have separate devices for separate purposes. I have an alarm clock, a CD/music player, a camera. Also, I have the settings on the camera that label each with the date/time they were taken, which I love!
3. Nintendo Gameboy Color and DS XL
The Gameboy Color was an intentional choice to get, but honestly the DS XL was just the one I played as a kid. I like revisiting Pokemon Pearl sometimes (yes, I know there's the remake for the Switch, I've played that, but I like the pixel art.)
I don't have too many games for the Gameboy Color. Honestly I mostly play Pokemon Pinball.
4. Furbies
Heal yea!!! Creatures!
I just went through a furby phase in 2019 but I still enjoy these fellas :-) I also have a long furby I made for my graduation but I can't find a photo of him!
I can't think of what else I have. Anything else do y'all think I need?
Also looking at this post I realize I love tech in the color red. It's not even my favorite color I just see technology in that color and I'm like "that means its better."
