Someone has to know the answer right? I mean I've downloaded so many apps on my phone to try and make friends but in the end I always get to shy to start another conversation or the person stops responding! Please if someone knows how to make online friends just tell me you don't even have to want to be my friend just give me some sort of strategy pleasee!
I hate to break to you but I think that maybe if nobody is initiating conversation then you should. Maybe just say something like " I saw so and so on your profile, what do you like about so and so" or even just simply say hi.
most online friendships dont work cause theres no real socialization. people dont wanna sit on their phone or discord all day just talking about nothing. Find hobbies/activities that you like doing and try sharing that with other people. Activities and working together with others is what builds a friendship, they're built on memories of good times. im sorry but no one is going to stay friends if youre too shy to even speak. you must break these imaginary barriers like embarrassment or failure. if you cant commit to trying for someone else, no one is going to do it for you.
just be calm ,just be normal, and maybe try joining a rec center or a ymca because real life friends will always be better than discord buddies (in my opinion) just make sure to have fun and not beat yourself up if it doesnt work immediately. Enjoy your journey!
(p.s: never approach someone with depression being your personality. not saying thats what you do that, i just see that type of thinking especially in spacehey. again, just have fun!)
