How To Make Friends And Influence People

I’m writing this for my fellow introverts and weird kids, There’s this book called “How To Win Friends And Influence People”, it’s great but here’s some updated points for modern times.

1. Become genuinely interested in other people.
2. Smile, use hand gestures, and keep eye contact (not excessively or that would be weird)
3. Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
4. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
5. Talk in terms of the other person’s interests.
6. Make the other person feel important – and do it sincerely.
7. Don’t criticize, condemn or complain.
8. Give honest and sincere appreciation.
9. Don’t talk too much, keep it short and simple
10. Make the conversation about the other person, do not center it on yourself.
11. Know your social status, and respect people above and below you.
12. Present the best version of yourself, practice proper grooming and be clean.
