Its no secret that both girls from both styles are stereotyped to be loud alcoholics, chain smokers, and host addicts. We can see now how the Jirai girlies who go the full mile within the style act like the gyals from back in the day. I also made a personal note that the hime-gal style is similar to Jirai-kei (Im reaching neither style have any connection Im going off vibes.) Anyway I just wanted to say that girls like this never go away but they sure will dress different. Also brands that used to be gal aligned are moving over to be more Jirai?!??! Marz is a really good example!!! That's all I wanted to say I like how the torch is being passed in some sort of way, even if it is within a niche in a niche-˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
So true!! The key elements to gyaru and jirai IS the make up. Also the make up is very similar for both styles (big droopy eyes) and the lifestyle is ~kindaaaaaa~ identical (host clubs, social media presence, sanrio likers) and not to forget they both fight stereotypes or whateverrr (gyaru: all woman need to be pale, skinny, not loud, ...| Jirai: toxic woman, borderline personality disorder, explosiveness, ...)
Yeah you get it so well!!! I think its really interesting how both styles are similar in many ways but also happen very different times! Its unlike other styles in the j-fashion scene (that I know of) ପ(๑•ᴗ•๑)ଓ ♡
