I believe someone already made a blog like this, but I've been thinking about it an awful lot
I absolutely do not mean this in any way to be rude, but sometimes I will visit a profile and feel my eyes start to tense up. Many of the layouts used for blog pages lack proper warnings or proper accessibility features, whether it's bright flashing lights without warning, clashing colors (EX: Blue and red right beside eachother), or text that is unreadable. An example of this would be some of the scenecore layouts on here. There's LOTS of clashing colors and unreadable sections (due to images in the background!! forgot to mention that as well. It's a very common thing I see).
How can I make my blog more accessible?
Starting off, make sure any colors you are using do not clash against eachother or make things hard to read, ESPECIALLY when it comes to choosing text color or backgrounds. Also make sure that if you are going to be adding images in containers, think to yourself: "Can this be read with no issues? Are there any parts hard to read?"
Here's a picture to show what I'm talking about:
As you can see, the examples on the left don't create eyestrain or difficulties reading unlike the examples shown on the right. The text on the bottom left is boxed and separate from the image in the container unlike the bottom right, and the colors chosen for the text and background are easier to read on the top left
THE SAME APPLIES WITH FILTERS FOR YOUR PAGE!! Sometimes I see filters put over everything and it also makes it harder to read, so take that into accountability too
And of course, I am absolutely not trying to say you can't have bright colors or elements on your page at all! BUT if there are any of these things, please at the very least also INCLUDE A WARNING IN YOUR NAME OR SOMEWHERE ELSE (ex: In blog titles, if you like to apply themes to blogs)
I might update this later with more information. I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to coding and whatnot so you can also share things in the comments too! :3 I hope this helps
