Social Media Exhaustion

I feel exhausted with the current landscape of social media.

Sites nowadays seem so insistent on squeezing money out of you that they lose their charm. Reddit's had it recently killing the one thing keeping its mobile userbase alive, Discord brought in ex-Meta executives and now they're going the direction of an identity-less social media company with little charm, and Twitter... yeah.

It feels exhausting being on the Internet now. It's a struggle to find content that's enjoyable, or a site that isn't full of the most insufferable people known to exist. I quite like SpaceHey for this reason. The people here are nice, but the entire site is pretty hands-off when it comes to what you're after. You want to post? Go ahead. Want to find new users? Go ahead. It's pretty cool :)

I don't know where social media is going from here, but I just hope it's going to get better.
