JDRVENGE is a Providence local and a personal friend of mine. We both are pretty involved with some of the local scenes in the city (JD is much more involved than me) and seeing the growth of him and Tre-Mafia has been amazing to see. So proud to have people like him in my city. 

Of course its not only JDRVENGE on the album but its produced by Polyester Beats, another local. So, even though I will be mostly focused on what JD delivers on the beat, I will not be neglecting the great production by another artist i'm happy to have direct contact with lol. 

I will be breaking the album down and review each track on its own. Overall opinion is after

Tracklist:

Home:

Home is a soft beat that really just lets anyone float on it and the end product will always be good.

This is probably JD's flow at it's best. Like i said, floating, which is what he does the whole song. No choppiness and verses full of personal lyrics allowing to let tragedy fully take over the album and begins the first volume. 

Jigsaw:

A much stronger drum and beat samples, both of them are really trying to pump they chest with this one.

A short song sadly but one full of shit talking. The song is mostly about how he jumped someone? I think that is what the songs about and yeah the delivery is okay but i think the voice stays pretty monotone the whole time with not alot change, which i woudlve appreciated more of. Not that it takes away from the song, i bet this shit live finna bump crazy. SHOUTOUT GEMINI 

Magnetic Release Freestyle:

 This is definitely the most simple of the beats. Not that its bad, just gets a little buried by the rest of the production.

This song is the most relatable to me. Especially the beginning part "everyone dropping except you". Cause thats frfr. Me personally i havent dropped for mad long and these exact thoughts dont leave my head... like ever. But other than that, JD questions the ego that he has (and shows off in JIGSAW) and doubts his ability. But even if he has doubt, that wont stop the hustle to be the best in prov. Too bad I live here. JD REFERENCED ME IN THE NED OF THE SONG EEEEEEEEE

SOLITUDE:

The production in this song mixed so well with the vocals especially Shaun Lib. His vocals went perfectly with the instrumental and enhanced the song immediately,.

This song is JD's most personal song (in my opinion) JD is giving us the honor of admitting his trials with the passing of his father (to my knowledge). Its a very sentimental track and caps off the album in a bittersweet ending. The chant in the end letting us know that real ones dont die. Gone but not forgotten ever. Really good track and worth hearing till the end.

OVERALL

I think this is JD's most professional and intentional tape yet. Its a short one yes but you can tell its a story. It has a beginning middle and end. Now this may be a little conspiracy theory-ish but hear me out. Home is the first tragedy. A home full of hated and pushes JD to find his own path and discover manhood without a guide. Jigsaw is the tragedy of violence. This is prolly the most wrong but i see it as a sudden burst of unprovoked mindless violence. Violence and hatred leads to nothing but....Magnetic Release Freestyle is the tragedy of regret and doubt. A song about not fully having full confidence in his work flow and future releases. (even tho he continues to brag in the second verse but lets not think of that). And the last tragedy. Solitude the tragedy of Loneliness. I think the song speaks for itself. 

Good tape. Gonna listen to it again rn.
